Sunday, April 12th, 2009 |

Razorfish is one of the largest interactive agencies in the world and currently has more than 2,000 employees in 20 offices in seven countries (Australia, China, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States) focusing exclusively on digital marketing and technology. Each office is filled with opportunities for people who want to invent the digital future. It’s a big challenge, but it’s a big Internet, and there’s work to be done.
We are seeking a Senior Copywriter who is both an expert writer of engaging web content, AND an adept content strategist with experience working on large, content rich websites … online magazines, portals, other deep, information-rich sites where consistency of style, guide development and a well executed content strategy is as important as thev writing of an engaging marketing piece.
You will work as a member of a team that includes a creative director, two designers, and two art directors to conceive, articulate, and create concepts for interactive media. While this team is primarly focused on large web sites, you may also have opportunities to work on online advertising campaigns, e-mail marketing, viral and other online marketing initiatives. You will report to the team Creative Director (and there is room for quick promotion to ACD depending on the trajectory of your career.) Sr. Copywriters must be polished communicators capable of solving communication challenges and developing original solutions. A keen familiarity with trends in online marketing and advertising in general along with a deep knowledge of the interactive digital space is required.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of branding and advertising initiatives
• Working with senior creative or project leads to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style
• Interacting with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
• Working from Creative Briefs and under the direction of senior creatives, working to translate concepts into effective copy concepts or text

• A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
• Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demands
• Understanding of graphic design and a keen appreciation of the interplay between textual and visual elements.

At Razorfish, the Internet is not a hobby. Technology is not something we dabble in. And digital design is not a sideline while we create print ads or television commercials. We were born digital, passionate about blending art and science, about defying the edge of what is possible. We got to be #1 because we believed — and still do — in the power of the Web to transform lives, and brands.
Do you share our passion? Apply to this position, or drop them a line to tell them about yourself.
